IRVING, Texas - The Baylor soccer team has been selected for its first nationally televised game in program history when it travels to Oklahoma State for a match on ESPNU on Sun., Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.
The Bears are one of five Big 12 teams chosen to fill four regular season television spots, and their match against OSU is the only on the ESPN family of networks.
Baylor is coming off its first NCAA Tournament selection since 1999 and first ever tournament victory, advancing to the NCAA Second Round. The Bears racked up 15 wins on the year and placed third in the Big 12. Oklahoma State finished 2011 atop the Big 12 standings, making a run to the Big 12 Championship game before advancing to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
ESPNU has seen a steady increase since its inception and is now in over approximately 73 million households across the country. The network has long-term carriage agreements with all 10 of the top multichannel TV providers - Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, DirecTV (Channel 208), DISH Network (Channel 141), Mediacom, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS TV and AT&T U-verse.
