Baylor Student-Athletes Take Part In 2013 Pro Day

WACO, Texas - A total of 13 former Baylor student-athletes showed off their skills in front of 30 NFL scouts representing 22 teams during Baylor's Pro Day at the Allison Indoor Facility on Wednesday.

The annual Pro Day began with players taking official measurements, before recording times in the 40-yard dash, shuttles, among other events.

WR Terrance Williams, a projected first-round draft pick, only went through measurements and then participated in position drills, after already having completed the other testing at the NFL Combine last month.

Fellow receiver Lanear Sampson, who also attended the NFL Combine, chose to run the 40-yard dash and bettered his previous time of 4.46 by .13 seconds (4.33).

Center Ivory Wade, who will look to continue a long line of Baylor offensive lineman in the NFL, produced 27 reps on the bench press, while tallying a 40-yard dash time of 5.07.

Defensive end Gary Mason Jr. also had a standout day as he did 26 reps on the bench press, broad jumped 9-feet-5-inches and posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.73.

Pro Day concluded with players going through individual position drills.

Williams and Sampson had former Baylor quarterback Nick Florence throw to them. There were no incompletions when Williams and Sampson were targeted.
