Bears Postpone Scrimmage with Northwestern State

WACO, Texas - Baylor's two-game scrimmage scheduled with Northwestern State Saturday has been postponed due to weather and will be made up Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. The Bears, however, will battle the rain and have their second intrasquad scrimmage of the season at Getterman Stadium Saturday at Noon.

The Bears are coming off a 42-17 season in 2013. Head Coach Glenn Moore and crew will only need to replace the starting efforts of Kathy Shelton this offseason, and Baylor is working in six freshmen into the mix with the veteran Bears.

Baylor opens the 2014 season in Las Vegas, Nevada Feb. 7-9 where the Bears will play five games at the Sportco Kick-Off Classic.
