BU?returned a nation's-best 6,319 yards from its 2013 totals when it led the country in both categories. Currently BU's offense?is the only one in the country to be in the top-five of total offense each of the last four years. Over the past few years, the Bears have shattered numerous NCAA, Big 12 and school records.

BAYLOR'S RETURN TO PROMINENCE UNDER BRILES
It's no secret that Art Briles has completely rebuilt Baylor's football program back to national prominence, but most impressive is how speedy and pronounced the transformation has been (Briles is third on the BU?career wins list).

BAYLOR HOMECOMING HISTORY
Baylor plays its 91st Homecoming game Saturday, marking the 105th anniversary of its first Homecoming in 1909. Baylor's Homecoming Parade is the nation's largest, and Baylor is among the first five schools nationally ever to celebrate Homecoming. The event became annual in 1924 when the name was changed from "Good Will Week" to Homecoming. The Bears are 43-43-4 in Homecoming contests, including a 7-11 record in the Big 12 era. Baylor's first Homecoming game was a 6-3 win over TCU?in 1909, however, it would not play another such game until 1915, when it beat TCU on Thanksgiving Day, 51-0. From 1916 thru 1923, there again was a gap in Homecoming festivities until 1924. Baylor has played a Homecoming game every season since 1924, with the exception of two years during World War II (1943-44) when the Bears didn't field a team. The Bears and Jayhawks have met twice before for Baylor's Homecoming with BU winning both of those games.

KANSAS?SERIES HISTORY
Saturday is the 14th meeting between Baylor and Kansas in football, the 11th as Big 12 Conference opponents. Baylor leads the all-time series, 9-4 and owns a 6-0 record vs. the Jayhawks in games played in Waco. BU?has won all four meetings under Art Briles and is 7-3 in the Big 12 era versus KU. The first meeting between the schools was a 22-0 Kansas victory at Lawrence, Kan., in 1971. The Bears won the first meeting as Big 12 foes, a 31-24 decision Oct. 10, 1998, in Waco.?In their last meeting in Waco, the Bears took care of KU,?41-14, in a Homecoming game for BU on Nov. 3, 2012. Last season, Baylor cruised to a 59-14 victory in Lawrence.

PUNISHING GROUND GAME EXCELS LATE
Through four Big 12 Conference games, Baylor's punishing rushing attack (leads Big 12, 21st nationally at 229.1 ypg) has excelled throughout games and overwhelmed opponents in fourth quarters. Forty percent of Baylor's rushing yardage (360 of 889 yards) in conference games has been accumulated in the final quarter, and the Bears' per-rush average is almost two yards more in the fourth quarter [see chart below].

BAYLOR RUSHING ATTACK IN 4TH QUARTER (Conf. games)
First 3 Quarters: 529 yards on 138 carries, 3.83 yds/rush
