IRVING, Texas - Baylor sophomore receiver Corey Coleman (offensive) and freshman kicker Chris Callahan (special teams) were both recognized as Big 12 Players of the Week following Saturday's 48-14 win at No. 15 Oklahoma, the league announced Monday.

Coleman and Callahan's recognition marks the seventh time in program history that two Bears have been honored in the same week and the first since Lache Seastrunk (offensive) and Eddie Lackey (defensive) accomplished the feat on Dec. 3, 2012. Coleman led the Bears with 15 catches for 224 yards and scored two touchdowns. His receptions and receiving yardage were career-highs and the second-best efforts in a game in program history.

The 224 yards were also the second-most in the Big 12 this season. Coleman scored his first touchdown on a 33-yard catch in the second quarter. He then added his first career rushing touchdown on a five-yard scamper in the third quarter. Coleman had 231 all-purpose yards and extended his nation-leading streak of catching at least one TD pass to six games. The sophomore registered his fourth career 100-yard receiving performance and leads the conference with 132.7 receiving yards a game.

It is the first player of the week honor of Coleman's career. Coleman is BU's third offensive Big 12 weekly award winner of the season, after his quarterbacks Bryce Petty (Oct. 13) and Seth Russell (Sept. 8) won the honor. Baylor has now at least three offensive honorees in three of the last four years, after never having more than one in any year before that. In total, Baylor has had 11 offensive players honored a combined 17 times since 2002, including 11 honorees in the last four years.

On special teams, Callahan accounted for 12 of Baylor's points on Saturday as he connected on both of his field goal attempts and all six PATs.

Callahan scored the game's first points on a 34-yard field goal in the first quarter and added his second on a 24-yarder in the fourth quarter. The freshman has made 12 straight field goals after starting his career 1-of-6. Callahan is second in the Big 12 with 10.1 points scored per game. In conference-only games, he is tied for the league lead with 11.5 points per contest.

Callahan garnered the first player of the week accolade of his career. He is the program's 10th recipient of the weekly special teams honor and second of the season, after Terrell Burt claimed the award on Oct. 6. It is the third time BU has had at least two specialists honored in the same year. Callahan is just the third BU place kicker to win the honor, joining Ryan Havens (Oct. 10, 2005) and Aaron Jones (Sept. 6, 2011).

The sixth-ranked Bears enjoy their third and final off-week of 2014, before hosting Oklahoma State on Nov. 22 at McLane Stadium.
