WACO, Texas - Baylor head coach Glenn Moore bulked up his pitching rotation and added speed on the base paths with two late additions to the 2015 roster. Brooke Seneshen, a sophomore transfer pitcher from Galveston College, along with freshman and base-running specialist, Kina Cummings of China Spring High School, joined the Bears and will be eligible in January.
Seneshen a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada, started 20 games in the circle last season for Galveston, posting a 16-8 record with three saves and five shutouts. She has spent time as an alternate for the Canadian National Team as well.
"Brooke is a hard throwing right hander. She will immediately add needed experience to an already talented bullpen. Her experience with the Canadian National team is invaluable," said Baylor head coach Glenn Moore.
Cummings sat out the 2014 season at China Spring High School due to a back injury, but Moore said he expects her to contribute in the speed department.
"Kina played for Baylor softball great Kelly Levesque, at China Spring," said Moore. "Although her primary role will be on the base paths, she brings quality infield depth and really solidifies our roster for 2015."
Baylor went 49-16 last season with its third trip to the Women's College World Series. Baylor begins the 2015 season Feb. 6 at home with the annual Getterman Classic.
