THE RUNDOWN
WACO, Texas (AP) - Bryce Petty threw for 412 yards, Johnny Jefferson had two touchdown runs and fifth-ranked Baylor claimed a share of its second consecutive Big 12 title with a 38-27 win over ninth-ranked Kansas State on Saturday night.

The Bears (11-1, 8-1 Big 12, No. 6 CFP) now have to wait and see if they will get a chance to be in the four-team playoff. TCU, which also grabbed a share of the conference title, but lost to Baylor earlier this season, also is in the mix.

TCU (11-1, 8-1, No. 3 CFP) has won seven in a row since its 61-58 loss to the Bears.

Petty completed 34 of 40 passes with a touchdown and an interception, a week after getting knocked out of the Bears' last game with a concussion.

TWEET OF THE GAME

TOP QUOTE
"First of all, a tremendous accomplishment by our football team. That being said, you know, it's so hard to repeat as a champion. That's why Seattle is struggling a bit this year. The Pac-12, The Big 10 and the SEC, those people are having new champions. The Big12 and Florida State won tonight in the ACC repeated. It's tough to do. Last year it was a thrill, it was exciting, it was hopeful, and this year, it's like what I €ˆwas saying, we got the windows rolled up and the doors locked because someone is trying to get to us and you know, we're not taking jabs, we're taking hey makers. They're trying to knock us out. And for our football team to sustain through that and through the season really shows me a lot of substance in our program and in those players and in our fan base." - Baylor football head coach Art Briles
