WACO, Texas- Baylor soccer added well-rounded depth to its roster for the 2014 season with the signing of six high school standouts, co-head coaches Marci and Paul Jobson announced Wednesday.
"We are really excited about this class," said Marci Jobson. "They are athletic, they can jump, they can run fast, but they're also good soccer players. They're smart soccer players. Technically, they are all very good on the ball as well. Not only do they bring a tremendous amount of athleticism to the table, they are also very good soccer players as well, and all have a chance to make an immediate impact."
With one of the most successful senior classes in program history departing and leaving eight roster spots open, the six newcomers will help the 18 returners fill the void for the 2014 campaign. The six incoming freshmen include four from California, one from Texas and one from Kansas. Three of them were defenders in high school, two were center-mids and one was a midfielder.
