WACO, Texas - The 14th-ranked Baylor women's tennis team shutout West Virginia, 7-0, on Friday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
In singles play, No. 122 Sanford took control of the first singles point by shutting out Manole, 6-0, 6-0. Sanford improved to 12-2 in dual-match play and won her sixth straight decision. On court four, Alex Clay clinched the match for the Lady Bears with a victory over Chahal, 6-3, 6-1. Wrapping up play, 52nd-ranked Generette took down Barrett, 6-2, 6-4. Generette is now 10-6 on the season. HIGHLIGHTS
· Baylor improved to 11-6 overall and 2-0 in Big 12.
· Sanford did not lose a game against the Mountaineers.
· Sanford won her sixth straight decision.
· The Lady Bears have won both times that they have faced the Mountaineers.
