WACO, Texas - Baylor football ended the 2014 season with its highest-ever final rankings as the Bears were ranked No. 7 in the Associated Press poll and No. 8 in the USA Today/Amway Coaches Poll in Tuesday's final rankings.

After winning the Big 12 championship for the second straight season - one of two teams in the conference to ever repeat - the Bears (11-2) added onto their first-ever back-to-back conference titles with their highest-ever finish in the rankings. BU's previous highest finish was No. 9 in both polls in 1951. For a second straight season, Baylor had a school record in wins while finishing No. 1 in the country in total offense (581.5 ypg) and scoring (48.2 ppg).
