Final Stats

THE RUNDOWN
FORT WORTH, Texas
- Baylor soccer earned a 1-1 tie at TCU on Tuesday evening at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium. The Bears (9-5-3, 4-1-2) scored midway through the second half but the Horned Frogs (8-7-2, 2-3-2) answered late to force two scoreless overtime periods. With the result, BU earned the No. 2 seed in next week's Big 12 Conference Championship.

The Bears came out firing in the first half as they led 7-4 in shots and just missed on a 35th-minute strike by Lauren Piercy that hit the cross bar. The play marked the best scoring chance for either side in the half.

In the second half, Amanda Hoglund dribbled the ball in the 68th minute into the box, created space and fired a rolling shot with good pace to the right post for a 1-0 Baylor lead.

As the Bears tried fending off a late push by TCU, BU keeper Sara Martinson made a great diving save in the 75th minute. However, she was unable to make much of a play on a quick developing TCU scoring chance in the 86th minute. A long serve into the box by Ryan Williams was headed in by Makenzie Koch for the equalizer.

In the first overtime, Baylor led shots 3-0 and put two on goal but no luck. The opposite happened in the second extra session as TCU led shots 2-0 and had one on net with no success.
