WACO, Texas - Baylor's Samantha Schaefer was honored by the league office Thursday as the Big 12 Equitation over Fences Rider of the Month for February.

While Baylor suffered its first two losses of the season, Schaefer went 4-0 in fences for the month and won two MOP honors. Against Texas A&M, the senior scored 84 points to win the MOP. She also took home the MOP against Oklahoma State after putting up a score of 88. Schaefer has only suffered one loss in fences all season, giving her a 10-1 record.

It marked the second Big 12 Rider of the Month award for Schaefer, she also won the award in fences for the month of November.

No. 3 Baylor carries an 11-2 record into its last two meets of the regular season this weekend before the Big 12 Championships in Fort Worth March 26-28.
