THE RUNDOWN
TULSA, Okla. - The 17th-ranked Baylor men's golf team shot 18-over-par 298 Tuesday's third round of the Big 12 Championship at Southern Hills. BU remained in seventh place at 55-over 895 heading to Wednesday's fourth and final round.
The Bears trail Texas (+9), Texas Tech (+23), TCU (+37), Iowa State (+40), Oklahoma (+43) and Oklahoma State (+46). BU is in front of Kansas (+57) and Kansas State (+73).
Kyle Jones shot 2-under 68 in the third round, tying the best round of the day in the 45-player field. He moved up 11 places into a tie for 11th place at 8-over par, just four strokes back of a trio of players tied for third place. Frederik Andersen (+14) is tied for 22nd place after posting a third round 6-over 76.
Filippo Zucchetti (+15) shot 7-over 77 to finish the day tied for 26th place. Andreas Gjesteby (+19) is tied for 34th place after a third round 7-over 77, and Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen (+21) is tied for 36th place heading to the final round.
HIGHLIGHTS
? Jones had five birdies in the third round, including four over a nine-hole span, which moved him into the top-eight for birdies made during the tournament.
? Andersen has posted 39 pars over 54 holes, the most made by any player in the 45-player field.
? Jones was one of only two players in the field to post a birdie on hole No. 8 in third round and one of only three during the entire tournament.
? Gjesteby posted a birdie on hole No. 4, which was one of only four birdies made on the hole in the third round.
? Baylor has made 167 pars during the tournament, second-most in the field.

4 - the number of players who shot below par on Tuesday, including Jones, Texas' Scottie Scheffler (68) and Doug Ghim (68) and TCU's Andrew Presley (69).

Tee times for Wednesday's final round begin at 8 a.m. CT. The Bears are again paired with Kansas and Kansas State.
