IRVING, Texas - Baylor's Kyle Jones was one of 10 golfers named to the 2015 All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team, as announced Thursday by the conference office. Jones has now been named All-Big 12 in back-to-back seasons, making him the third player in program history to accomplish the feat.

Jones joins Jimmy Walker (1998, 1999, 2000, 2001) and Ryan Baca (2003, 2004, 2005) as the only BU players to earn All-Big 12 recognition multiple times. Nine Baylor players have been named All-Big 12 a total of 15 times in the league's 19-year history.

The 2015 All-Big 12 Team was identified using the top-10 highest-ranked student-athletes according to the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings following the Big 12 Championship. Jones currently ranks 15th nationally and has a scoring average of 69.37. The only Big 12 player ahead of Jones in the rankings is Texas' Beau Hossler at 10th with a 69.17 stroke average.

Jones, who will become the second player in program history to play in the Palmer Cup, has finished among the top 15 individuals in all 11 tournaments this season, including eight top-10 finishes. He's shot par or better in 24 of 33 rounds and has posted the team's best score in nine of 11 events.

Baylor, which is ranked 18th nationally in the latest GolfStat rankings, begins postseason play on May 14 at the NCAA Bremerton (Wash.) Regional. The Bears earned the No. 4 seed at the regional, which will be played at Gold Mountain Golf Club.
