WACO, Texas -- Baylor's softball team added Kelsee Selman to the pitching staff, a transfer from LSU, head coach Glenn Moore announced Friday. Selman combined for a 15-3 record in two seasons with the Tigers, including a 9-0 record during LSU's Women's College World Series run in 2015.

Selman joins First Team All-Big 12 selection Heather Stearns along with Baylor sophomores Kendall Potts and Sarah Beth Toben as members of the Bears' pitching arsenal in 2016.

"We are very excited about the addition of Kelsee to our already talented pitching staff," Moore said. "She will bring two years of great experience, including a World Series to our bullpen. Fans will really like her as a competitor but will also love her as a person."

LSU granted Selman's release, and she will not have to sit out a season before joining Baylor in the fall.

Selman stands at 5'8" and hails from Lufkin, Texas where she played at Hudson High School, leading the team to back-to-back 3A state championships. Selman played travel ball for the Texas Bombers.

Baylor is coming off its 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2015; the Bears finished 41-17 on the season and tied for second in the Big 12 with a 12-6 record.
