WACO, Texas - Baylor cross country head coach Todd Harbour announced the release of his team's 2015 schedule Wednesday.
"I am very excited about our schedule this year," Harbour said. "It is a great schedule for both our men's and women's teams."
For the 13th-straight year, the Bears will open the season at home with the Bear Twilight Invitational on Sept. 1 at the HOT Soccer Complex.
After 10 days off, Baylor will spend the next two weekends in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, starting with the Ken Garland Invitational on Sept. 12, in Denton, Texas, hosted by North Texas. The following week, Baylor will attend UT Arlington's Gerald Richey Invitational on Sept. 19, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The men and women will compete in different locations on the same weekend for the only time in 2015 on Sept. 26 as the Lady Bears take part in the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., and the men travel to the Stanford Invitational out in California.
Both teams will be back in action together on Oct. 3 at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark. The meet will be the last of the regular season for the men.
After an open weekend and in their final meet of the regular season, the women will run on Oct. 16 at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis.
BU will have another open weekend, before journeying north to take on the rest of the league for the Big 12 Conference Championship Oct. 31 in Stillwater, Okla.
Baylor will then travel south to College Station, Texas, for the NCAA South Central Region Championships on Nov. 13. It will be only the third time in the last eight years and the fourth time in the last 13 seasons that the Bears will not host the event.
The NCAA Championships take place eight days later on Nov. 21 in Louisville, Ky.
