- QB Seth Russell is now 14-0 in his career as a starter. In his 14 career starts, Russell has thrown 50 TD passes (3.6 TD passes/game) and only 10 interceptions.
- Russell ran for career-high-tying 2 touchdowns from 5 and 26 yards in the 1st quarter, giving him 5 rushing TDs on the season and 17 in his career.
- RB Shock Linwood set a new Baylor record with his 36th career rushing TD. His 4-yard TD in the 2nd quarter was his 2nd rushing TD of the season and 36th of his career.
- Linwood also became Baylor's career record holder in total touchdowns with 37 TDs, passing Alfred Anderson's 36 TDs, and he moved into 3rd on BU's career points list with 222.
- Linwood (46 rushing yards) is 38 yards shy of becoming the 7th player in Big 12 Conference history to reach 4,000 career rushing yards (school-record 3,962).
- LB Raaquan Davis had a career-high 15 tackles ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" all solo. Davis' 15 solo tackles tied Maurice Lane for the 2nd-most solo tackles in a game in program history. Lane had 15 vs. Texas Tech on Nov. 9, 2003 (15 solo, 8 assisted), and the record is 19 by Brian Blessing vs. TCU on Nov. 2, 1968 (19 solo, 11 assisted).
- Davis had a 7-yard sack in the 2nd quarter for his career-first sack, while also adding another TFL for a career-high 2 TFLs.
- LB Taylor Young had 2 sacks (3 yards, 5 yards), giving him 3.0 sacks on the season and 11.0 sacks in his career. He's 1.0 sack shy of Baylor's career top 10.
- WR KD Cannon (3 receptions) has now had at least one catch in all 31 career games.
- Cannon had a 59-yard TD reception in the 2nd quarter for his 5th receiving TD of the season and 19th of his career, tying Lawrence Elkins and Melvin Bonner for 6th on Baylor's career receiving TDs list.
- WR Pooh Stricklin had a career-high 51 receiving yards, including a career-long 44-yard reception, on a career-high-tying 2 catches.
- LB Clay Johnston had his career-first interception in the 4th quarter and returned it 65 yards to the KU 13-yard line.
- WR Ishmael Zamora had a 4-yard TD reception in the 2nd quarter for his 3rd receiving TD of the season and 5th of his career.
- DT Ira Lewis had a 8-yard sack in the 1st quarter for his 2nd sack of the season. Lewis also recovered a Kansas fumble at the KU 4-yard line in the 2nd quarter.
- CB Ryan Reid had a career-high 2 interceptions, giving him 2 on the season and 5 in his career.
- Reid had 115 interception return yards on the day, 15 back of the school single-game record of 130 by Charles McClanahan at Missouri in 1974. Reid returned his first interception 64 yards for his career-first touchdown and brought the second one back 51 yards to the Kansas 19-yard line.
- S Orion Stewart had his 4th interception of the season and the 10th of his career, tying him for 10th place on Baylor's career interception list.
- Stewart's 10 career interceptions ties Xavien Howard for most by a Baylor player since the Big 12 began play in 1996.
- True freshman CB Grayland Arnold made his career-first start, and true freshman DL Micheal Johnson made his Baylor debut.
