
Men's Golf Heads to The Maxwell

WACO, Texas ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" The Baylor men's golf team is headed Ardmore, Okla., to compete in The Maxwell, the team's final regular-season tournament before the Big 12 Championship. The Maxwell is hosted by the University of Oklahoma at the Dornick Hills Golf and Country Club.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played on the par-70, 6,586-yard tournament course, featuring two rounds of play on Saturday and a final round Sunday.
The Bears enter the tournament ranked No. 28 nationally in the latest GolfStat rankings, after placing fifth at the Aggie Invitational, with a final score of 16-over-par 880.
The 11-team field Baylor will compete in includes tournament-host No. 19 Oklahoma, No. 29 Augusta, Colorado, East Carolina, No. 34 Houston, No. 43 Memphis, No. 40 New Mexico, No. 9 Oklahoma State, No. 3 Texas and Tulsa.
Baylor's lineup features Andreas Gjesteby, Frederik Andersen, Braden Bailey, Matthew Perrine and Hunter Shattuck. Andrew Hans and Garrett May will play as individuals.
Saturday's rounds will be a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT. All five players in the Baylor lineup will begin on the seventh tee at 8 a.m., and May and Hans will begin on a ninth tee in a grouping with three individuals from Oklahoma.
