Gameday Parking Impact on Campus

This Friday, Sept. 2, Baylor will open the 2016 football season at 6:30 p.m. versus Northwestern State at McLane Stadium. Because of the Friday kickoff, please make note of the following special parking and transportation schedules and plans below.

Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016

Thursday at 3:00 p.m. - All parking in the East Campus Parking Garage and all interior of campus faculty/staff and visitor lots will open to students with a valid parking permit. This parking will remain available to students until Monday morning, when regular hours resume.

Thursday at 6:00 p.m. - The following parking lots will be closed to general access. Other cars that remain in these lots after this time will be subject to towing and citation.
- Dutton Parking Garage
- Mayborn Museum Parking Lots

Thursday ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Traditions Rally on Fountain Mall
- 5:30 p.m. IFC Tailgate Opens (Students Only/Free)
- 6:30 p.m. Event opens to the public/Food trucks open
- 7:30 p.m. Pep Rally
- 8 p.m. Aloe Blacc in Concert
- 9:15 p.m. Fireworks show (over Fifth Street Parking Garage)

Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 - Gameday

Friday at 2:00 a.m. - The parking lots at Highers-Simpson will close.

Friday at noon ÃÆ' ¢Ãƒ ¢' ¬" Offices in Robinson Tower will close in order to accommodate event parking needs.

Friday Afternoon - The following lots and garages will be closed to general access and reserved for event parking beginning at the noted times. Any cars remaining in these lots after these times will be subject to towing and citation.
- 1:00 p.m. - Robinson Tower Parking Garage and Surface Lots
- 1:00 p.m. - Speight Parking Garage
- 2:00 p.m. - Law School Parking Lots

THREE hours before kickoff the following roads and exits will close:
- University Parks (Law School/Dutton Garage to Bagby Avenue)
- Southbound exit on I-35 for Martin Luther King Blvd. (Exit 335C)

New McLane Stadium Safety and Security Improvements

If you are attending the game, please note that McLane Stadium has installed metal detectors at all entrances for the 2016 football season. Gates to McLane Stadium open 90 minutes prior to kick-off, and fans are asked to give themselves plenty of time to get through the on-site screening process. Fans are also reminded that no bags larger than 12"x6"x12" will be allowed inside the stadium and that backpacks, coolers and other large bags are also not permitted.
