Baylor-Houston Game Notes

WACO, Texas - The No. 12/13 Baylor Lady Bears (35-7, 8-1 Big 12) will play its final nonconference home games of 2017, hosting the Houston Cougars (20-20, 5-4 AAC) for a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 18, beginning at 4 p.m. at Getterman Stadium.

Tuesday's games will both be televised, with game one being broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest and game two airing on FOX Sports Southwest Plus. The Voice of the Bears, John Morris, and former Lady Bear standout, Jordan Strickland, will handle the commentary.

The game will also have a radio broadcast, with game one airing on ESPN Central Texas and game two airing exclusively on BaylorBears.com/allaccess.

- Baylor and Houston split last year's series in Houston, with Baylor holding an 18-10 advantage in the all-times series, including 10-3 in games played in Waco.

- Baylor is coming off its lone bye week in Big 12 play, enjoying the Easter weekend off. The Lady Bears will play the doubleheader with the Cougars before the nationally-televised weekend series at Oklahoma.

- Baylor is 6-0 in 2017 after a loss, with the last time the Lady Bears dropped consecutive games going back to 2016 when BU dropped the second game versus Houston (April 12) and the opening game of the series at Oklahoma State (April 15).

- Baylor enters Tuesday's contest with a 21-1 home record, with 21 home wins standing as the most since 2013. A pair of wins could put the Lady Bears at 23 home wins, the most since the 2012 team went 26-8 at Getterman. BU has had a winning home record in every full season since Getterman Stadium opened in 1999 (2000-present).
