THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas -- Baylor track and field had seven Bears open competition at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Thursday afternoon at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.
Freshman Riley B. Richards highlighted the day with his best outdoor mark in the pole vault, jumping 17-0.75 (5.20m) to lead all Bears in the event. Finishing in a tie for seventh place, he was the top freshman in the group and surpassed his previous outdoor best of 16-4.75 (5.00m) at last week's Roadrunner Invitational.
Juniors Ryan Womack and Greyson Gonzalez did not clear Thursday's opening height of 17-0.75 (5.20m) and 16-4.75 (5.00m), respectively.
On the track, Kiana Hawn started out strong by posting a 400-meter hurdle time of 57.60 to finish sixth overall and advance to Friday's final in the event. Sarah Yocum finished with a time of 1:02.76.
Antwuan Musgrove and Jason Baldridge wrapped up Thursday's action with times of 52.80 and 54.25 in the 400-meter hurdles. Musgrove's time was a season best.

The Bears will continue competition at the Texas Relays Friday morning at 9:35 a.m. CT with the 4x100-meter relays. Devin Meyrer, Brooke Gilmore and Anna West will begin competition at the Stanford Invitational Friday morning in Stanford, Calif.
