
Track & Field Captures 400-Meter Hurdle Title in Austin

THE RUNDOWN
AUSTIN, Texas -- Baylor track & field wrapped up the Texas Invitational with another event title Saturday afternoon at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Freshman Jayson Baldridge won his second career title in the 400-meter hurdles after he clocked 51.57 for a new season best. Baldridge also won his season-opening race at the TCU Invitational where he ran 52.35.
Also in the 400-meter hurdles, Antwuan Musgrove went 52.89 for sixth while Robert Dutton ran 54.50 for 13th.
Kennedy Bailey improved her season best in the 100-meter hurdles for the second-straight week after she went 13.81 to finish seventh overall.
Kiana Horton ran her first outdoor 400-meter race and went 55.38 for seventh place.
Howard Fields III (46.38) and Caleb Dickson (47.18) put up impressive numbers in the 400 meters after they clocked season bests for second and fourth place, respectively.
Maxwell Willis also ran his first outdoor 100-meter race of the season and was the third-best collegian in the event with a time of 10.67. He finished seventh overall.

The Bears will welcome 10 teams to the Michael Johnson Invitational on Saturday, April 21 at Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium. Field events start at 9 a.m. CT while running events begin at 2 p.m. CT.
