
Meadows Named Big 12 Runner of the Week

Sophomore won the Bear Twilight Invitational Friday to open the season.
WACO, Texas – Following his season-opening win at the Bear Twilight Invitational, Baylor men's cross country sophomore Jeremy Meadows has earned Big 12 Runner of the Week honors, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Monument, Colo., product led the Bears to the team title with a 6K-winning time of 18:17.2. It is Meadows' first-ever Big 12 weekly honor.
"I'm excited for Jeremy to be recognized," Baylor associate head coach Jon Capron said. "He has made a great amount of progress within the last year, and this was a great step forward. He has the ability to be very good. Hopefully this is just the beginning."
In the 22-year history of the Big 12, BU runners have now been honored 34 times with runner of the week accolades.
Baylor cross country returns to action this Friday, Sept. 7, at the Gerald Richey UTA Invitational at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
