THE RUNDOWN
ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. – Baylor sophomore transfer Anastasia Kharitonova's run at the Jack Kramer Collegiate Invite came to an end Sunday when she lost in the finals to UCLA's Annette Goulak, 7-5, 6-3.
Kharitonova took three singles wins over the weekend to improve to 7-4 on the season in her first year in a Baylor uniform.
Overall, Baylor went 10-4 on the singles court and 2-2 on the doubles court this weekend. The tournament will likely be the final action for the majority of the Bears team for the fall with the exception of Livia Kraus who will await word as to whether she will be selected to compete in the ITA Fall National Championships beginning Wednesday in Newport Beach, Calif.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Senior Jessica Hinojosa won her 60th career match to improve to 60-33 all-time as a Baylor Bear.
• Sophomore transfer Anastasia Kharitonova matched Kris Sorokolet for the most singles wins on the team in the fall with seven, and moved to 7-4 overall this fall.
