Baseball Closes Out the Fall After Green Takes Game 5 and the Green-Gold World Series

The Green squad took four-of-five games from the Gold team
WACO, Texas – The Baylor baseball team finished up its fall season with the annual Green-Gold World Series, with Green taking four-of-five games, including Game Five on Saturday at Baylor Ballpark, 3-2.

Last weekend, Green came away with two one-run victories to seize control of the series, 2-0. The Gold squad came back on Tuesday with a convincing 8-3 win to pull within a game of tying things up. However, on Friday, Green showed its dominance with a big four-run sixth inning to seal the 5-0 series-clinching victory. Earlier today, Green once again jumped out front early, grabbing a 1-0 advantage in the third before extending the lead to 3-0 in the sixth. Gold trimmed it to a one-run game with runs in the seventh and eighth, but Green sealed the win in the ninth.

The Bears are now finished with fall practice and will look forward to its 2021 spring season.
