
20 A&T Student-Athletes Earn 2020 Academic All-Big 12 At-Large Honors

WACO, Texas– Baylor acrobatics and tumbling had 20 student-athletes named to the 2020 Academic All-Big 12 At-Large Team that was announced recently by the league office.
A conference-high 12 were named to the first team, boasting GPAs of 3.20 or higher, while eight earned second-team honors with GPAs between a 3.00 and 3.19.
The Academic All-Big 12 At-Large Team recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at Conference institutions that participate in sports outside of Big 12 competition. The 62 honorees for the 2019-20 season included student-athletes from the sports of acrobatics & tumbling, beach volleyball, men's gymnastics, men's soccer and rifle.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
