RE-UNITING SAFELY
9/8/2020 10:35:00 AM | General, Fan Experience
Baylor Athletics will implement enhanced cleaning and safety measures for all athletics events this fall.
Ahead of upcoming competition, Baylor Athletics is taking extra measures to ensure guest safety at McLane Stadium and across all Baylor Athletics venues this fall. Attendance capacity is limited, spectators are required to wear masks, and seating is spread out to accommodate social distancing recommendations. At McLane Stadium, mobile ticketing and other contactless features have been implemented, along with sanitation stations located throughout the facility and enhanced cleaning and sanitation processes that will take place all season long. Fans in attendance will note helpful and important signage added throughout the stadium.
Planning to attend an upcoming football game? Here is what you need to know:
FACE MASKS: Face coverings/masks are required in Baylor Athletics venues for all fans over the age of 10. Individuals who are medically exempt are not required to wear a mask. Fans may temporarily remove their masks when seated and actively eating/drinking. Bandanas and face shields are not acceptable forms of face coverings, per Baylor University's current policy on face coverings.
SELF-SCREENING: All spectators are asked to perform a self-screening before coming to any athletics events this fall. These include taking one's temperature and evaluating general wellness. Please stay home if you have any of the CDC identified symptoms that may indicate COVID-19. Additionally, if you have been in close contact with a person who has symptoms or is lab confirmed to have COVID-19, please stay home.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: Please keep at least six feet of separation between yourself and those who are not included in your party. This includes queues to enter the stadium, concession stands and restrooms. Seating has been spread out to limit contact with other fans. Please limit physical contact with those not in your party.
WALK-THROUGH SECURITY SCREENINGS: Walk-through security screenings will be modified for this year only – fans may keep keys and cell phones in pockets or bags and hold their bag while going through security screening in order to minimize contact. When possible, fans are asked to avoid bringing a bag to McLane Stadium for both increased security and speed of entry.
Please Note: Baylor Athletics' Clear Bag Policy remains in effect this season.
FOOD SERVICE & SAFETY: Plexiglass shields have been installed at concession stands and other food service points for added food safety. Staff have received supplementary training and will follow CDC practice for food handling.
INCREASED CLEANING & SANITATION: Restrooms at McLane Stadium now include contactless features. Dedicated staff will regularly clean and disinfect these areas throughout the game, and additional personnel will be present in other areas of the stadium to clean and disinfect as needed. Between events, Baylor Athletics will thoroughly clean and disinfect the facility.
HEALTHY HABITS: Please practice healthy habits while attending events this fall. Per health experts, please wash or sanitize your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze. Additional handwashing and sanitation stations will be available throughout McLane Stadium for your safety.
