Baseball Completes 2021 Schedule with Non-Conference Slate

The Bears will open 2021 with a three-game home series against Jacksonville State Feb. 19-21
WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball and head coach Steve Rodriguez completed the 2021 schedule with the announcement of 24 non-conference games on Wednesday. In total, 30 of the 48 scheduled games in 2021 will be played in the friendly confines of Baylor Ballpark.
The Bears will open up the season with a three-game homestand against Jacksonville State (Feb. 19-21), followed by a midweek matchup versus UT Rio Grande Valley (Feb. 23) in Waco, before making the trip to Round Rock for the Round Rock Classic to play Texas A&M (Feb. 26), Auburn (Feb. 27) and Oklahoma (Feb. 28).
Baylor will return home for another five games with a Tuesday contest against Sam Houston State (March 2) and a four-game weekend series versus Memphis (March 5-7). The following weekend, BU is set to travel to Baton Rouge, La., for a Saturday doubleheader against UT-San Antonio and LSU (March 13).
The squad returns to Waco for a midweek matchup against Prairie View A&M (March 16), before opening Big 12 play with Texas (March 19-21) at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears will be back on the road on March 23 to play UT-Arlington, followed by its Big 12 road opener in Fort Worth versus TCU (March 26-28).
The Bears will have nine-straight home games to close out March and begin April, with Texas State (March 30), North Carolina A&T (April 1-3), UT-Arlington (April 6) and West Virginia (April 9-11). Following back-to-back road series versus Kansas (April 16-18) and Texas Tech (April 23-25), BU is slated to play five-consecutive home contests with Prairie View A&M (April 27), Kansas State (May 7-9) and Incarnate Word (May 11).
Baylor will finish out the schedule with a road series at Oklahoma State (May 14-16) and a final regular season homestand versus Oklahoma (May 20-22).
The Big 12 tournament returns to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City May 26-30.
