WT Gears Up for ITA Regionals

Barañano, Herrero Linana, Krywoj and Zamburek to compete for the Bears
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis is set to take part in the ITA Division I Women's Texas Regional Championship this weekend at TCU.
Seniors Mel Krywoj and Alicia Herrero Linana, along with junior Paula Barañano and freshman Ana Carmen Zamburek, will compete for the Bears.
While play began on Thursday, none of the Baylor players had to take part in qualifiers.
In singles, Barañano will face Texas Tech's Olivia Peet at 10:30 a.m. Zamburek is slated to take on UT Arlington's Ana Paula Jimenez at noon. Meanwhile, ninth-seeded Herrero Linana waits to see who she will play at 10:30 a.m. As does second-seeded Mel Krywoj, but her match won't begin until noon.
In doubles, the tandems of second-seeded Herrero Linana and Krywoj, along with Barañano and Zamburek, received first-round byes and won't play until 9 a.m. Saturday.
