THE RUNDOWN
SEATTLE, Wash. – Livia Kraus was tied 3-3 with Washington State's Pang Jittakoat in the third set of the deciding match Saturday, before taking the final three games to help No. 15-ranked Baylor edge Washington State, 4-3, at UW's Nordstrom Tennis Center.

THEY SAID IT
Baylor senior Livia Kraus on her first-career match-clinching victory …
"As a senior, I feel like that's even more special. I was so nervous, being down in the first set. I just tried to keep calm and [stay] motivated and I knew that I could pull it off. When I noticed it was 3-all, I tried to pull myself together and leave everything out there for the girls and the team. I wanted that win for the whole team."
Baylor head coach Joey Scrivano on gritting out a road win …
"I'm proud of the way we responded today. We had a brutal day of travel yesterday, and we could have lost this match on the tarmac of DFW [Airport] yesterday. Ultimately, we are doing the tiny things better, and it's been gradually transforming the identity of our team. I'm proud of these young ladies and the way they are maturing on and off the court. Credit to Washington State. They competed very hard today, are a well-coached team and always fight when we play them."
