Baseball Boasts 18 Academic All-Big 12 Honorees

The Bears have 16 first team selections
WACO, Texas – Baylor baseball tallied 18 Academic All-Big 12 selections, including 16 first team honorees, the conference office announced Tuesday.
The Bears' 18 total selections and 16 first-team honorees were one short of a program high that was set in 2020. First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA while the second team selections hold a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.
Andy Thomas, Ryan Leckich and Jimmy Winston all earned their fourth-career First Team Academic All-Big 12 honor. Luke Boyd and Chase Wehsener were named to the first team for the third time in their respective careers.
