
WT Announces 2023 Spring Slate

The Bears will host 17 home matches
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis announced its spring schedule on Tuesday. This year's slate is highlighted by 17 home matches to be played January to April.
The Bears will kick off their season at the TCU Invite, Jan. 6-8, where they will be joined by the Horned Frogs, SMU and Tarleton at the round-robin event.
Baylor hosts Houston and UTRGV in its home opener on Jan. 21, while Rice and DePaul come to town on Jan. 23. The Bears will wrap up the opening month of the spring season at the ITA Kickoff Weekend, Jan. 27-28, in Austin.
The Bears come back to the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center to host Ole Miss (Feb. 3) and Florida (Feb. 5) before traveling to Cambridge, Mass., to take on Harvard (Feb. 8).
The ITA National Indoor Championships (Feb. 10-12) and a match against Wisconsin (Feb. 11) highlight a busy weekend in February, before the Bears finish out the month by hosting Arkansas (Feb. 17), Washington (Feb. 24) and San Diego (Feb. 26).
March will begin with a matchup at Arizona State (March 4) before Big 12 Conference play starts against Oklahoma State (March 10) and Oklahoma (March 12) at home. Baylor hits the road for contests at Kansas (March 17) and Kansas State (March 19) and returns to Hurd Tennis Center for a non-conference battle with Denver (March 22).
Two more home matches against West Virginia (March 24) and Iowa State (March 26) continue the competitive conference slate, before gearing up for trips to Texas Tech (March 31) and TCU (April 2).
Baylor will wrap up its home slate against a pair of in-state non-conference opponents in UTSA (April 8) and SMU (April 10), before concluding the regular season at Texas on April 15.
The 2023 Big 12 Championships are set for April 20-23 in Lawrence, Kansas.
