
WT Lands Four on Academic All-Big 12 Teams

Four Bears honored for third-straight season
WACO, Texas – Paula Barañano and Alicia Herrero picked up Academic All-Big 12 First-Team honors, while Isabella Harvison and Mel Krywoj were named to the second team, the Big 12 announced Wednesday.
This marks the third-straight season with a first-team non for Barañano and the second-straight for Herrero. Krywoj received an Academic All-Big 12 nod for the second-straight year.
In 23 of 25 seasons since the Big 12 began recognizing an All-Academic team for women's tennis in 1997, Baylor has had at least two players earn first-team honors. For the third-straight year, Baylor had four players combined to be named to the first and second teams.
To qualify for the first team, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.20. A second-team qualification must maintain a GPA between 3.0-3.19.
