Alicia Herrero, Mel Krywoj are the 10th and 11th Bears in program history to earn All-American honors in doubles
THE RUNDOWN
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Baylor's Alicia Herrero and Mel Krywoj fell in the Round of 16 in the NCAA Doubles Championships to Georgia Tech's Ava Hraster and Kylie Bilchev, 6-1, 2-6, 0-1 (13-15).
While the Bears got out to a fast start in the first set, Georgia Tech took over in the second set.
That set things up for a dramatic winner-take-all third set. Down 6-9 at one point in the 10-point tiebreaker, the Bears fought back to tie the score at 9-9. Action continued to go back-and-forth until Georgia Tech clinched the match with a 15-13 score.
