Baylor Athletics Gears Up for Annual Meet the Bears Event

WACO, Texas – The excitement of the new athletic season is here, and fans can get an early glimpse into the new rosters as Baylor Athletics hosts its annual Meet the Bears event Saturday Aug. 27 at McLane Stadium from 2 to 4 p.m. CT.

The official start of the 2022-23 athletic season is Aug. 18 when Baylor Soccer takes on Minnesota at Betty Lou Mays Field.

Here are the full details for Meet the Bears:
- Gate C will open at 2 p.m. to the public, and parking is free at McLane Stadium.
- Baylor's clear bag policy will be in effect for Meet the Bears.
- An exclusive Meet the Bears poster will be provided for the event.
- Student-athletes will be able to sign one memorabilia item per person.
- The Bears will have 16 programs represented for autographs throughout the concourse, including a special appearance by Bruiser and Marigold.
There will also be multiple booths and fanfare set up throughout the concourse:
- At the ticket sales table, a special ticket deal for football single game tickets will be available only to those who attend Meet the Bears.
- Fans will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive "Go Gold" apparel from the Baylor Bookstore and licensed apparel partners.
- A Kids Zone will be set up on the east side of the concourse and will include inflatables, face painting, and special activities.
- Baylor Bold Rewards and Cub Club will be represented with registration, giveaways, and opportunities to engage this athletic season.
- Fans can also purchase an exclusive Meet the Bears in-person football ticket deal through the Baylor Ticket Office. Full details will be announced at a later date.
- REVELxp (formerly Tailgate Guys), Baylor's official tailgating partner, will also be on site. Season and single-game tailgating packages are still available for purchase.
