Baylor Men’s and Women’s Basketball Announce Educational Game Dates for Local Schools
WACO, Texas – "Future Bears Day", formerly known as "I'm Going to College Day", is returning for the 2022-23 Baylor Men's and Women's Basketball seasons.
Men's basketball will tip-off its season with "Future Bears Day" on Monday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. while women's basketball will host its game on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m.
The initiative began as a way for the Bears to engage local classrooms with an educational experience jam-packed with action from the two national championship programs. Baylor student-athletes will reveal their favorite books and provide bookmarks to schools in attendance.
Schools that register early can submit video questions for Baylor Basketball student-athletes to answer on the videoboard during the game. An educational lesson will take place at halftime and will be different for each game.
All classrooms K-8 are welcome to complimentary admission to one or both games upon registering with Baylor Athletics prior to Oct. 14.
Schools will need to provide number of tickets requested and number of buses no later than two weeks before each "Future Bears Day" event. Supervision of the students in attendance is required. Concessions will be available for purchase; however, schools may also bring lunch for their classrooms.
As an added benefit, schools interested in attending Baylor Football's season opener at McLane Stadium can request group rate tickets. The game is set for Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. vs. UAlbany. Please contact Fan_Engagement@Baylor.edu to get your tickets while supplies last!
FUTURE BEARS DAY DATES
Nov. 7 Men's Basketball hosts Mississippi Valley State at 11 a.m.
Dec. 15 Women' Basketball hosts Tennessee State at 11 a.m.
