WACO, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference has released league schedules for the 2024-27 seasons, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The four-year scheduling matrix for the 2024-27 football seasons was developed with a priority on geography, historic matchups and rivalries as well as competitive balance. During the four years, all teams will play one another at least once home and away. Some matchups will occur over three seasons while others take place in all four. Matchups in 2024 that were also played in 2023 will not repeat at the same site.
 
The conference looked to maintain the current 5/4, 4/5 home/away rotation for all 16 members to minimize non-conference scheduling disruptions. Other important factors were balancing annual travel by distance and time zones as well as maintaining connectivity to rivalries without compromising a balanced rotation for all teams.
 
Game dates will be announced by the Big 12 at a later date. 
 
In 2024, Baylor will host four games, featuring BYU, TCU, Oklahoma State and Kansas, while hitting the road five times vs. Colorado, Texas Tech, Houston, Iowa State and West Virginia. Baylor will also play three non-conference games, hosting Tarleton State on Aug. 31 and Air Force on Sept. 7, before hitting the road to face Utah in a non-league game on Sept. 14 in Salt Lake City. 
 
In 2025, the Bears will have home league games vs. Arizona State, Houston, Kansas State, UCF and Utah, and face road tests at Arizona, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State and TCU. Baylor will open the schedule on Aug. 30 at home vs. Auburn in non-league play. 
 
The 2026 slate will feature a road non-league game at Auburn on Sept. 5. Home Big 12 games will feature Colorado, Iowa State, TCU and Texas Tech, and road games at Arizona State, BYU, Kansas, Houston and UCF. 
 
In 2027, the Bears will host Oregon on Sept. 11 and travel to face Air Force on Sept. 18 in non-league play. BU will host Big 12 games vs. Arizona, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, UCF and West Virginia, facing road games at Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech and Utah. 
 
In addition, the Bears are set to face North Texas in a non-league matchup in 2028 and 2029, including home in 2028 and in Denton in 2029.
