Foster Forward: A Letter from Mack Rhoades
WACO, Texas -- As Baylor basketball prepares to open the sparkling new Foster Pavilion, Baylor Athletics is opening a new series to inform fans of things to know for the new environment, as part of it's 'Foster Forward' campaign leading up to the Jan. 2 men's game vs. Cornell and the Jan. 3 women's contest vs. TCU.
Baylor Athletics is entering into a new era of basketball at the Foster Pavilion, marking the 'Foster Forward' campaign, geared to educate and inform the community of the many exciting elements to expect in the new facility.
In a similar fashion to the move of Baylor football from Floyd Casey Stadium to the jewel of the Brazos, McLane Stadium, Baylor fans will be treated to a whole different level of venue experience, the opening of a new era of Baylor basketball.
As part of the 'Foster Forward' campaign, Baylor athletics will roll out a bevy of information to properly prepare Baylor fans for the new facility, including parking and shuttle details, venue information and a robust selection of answers to potential questions. Baylor's athletics leadership will be seen throughout the next three weeks in local and regional media spaces in an effort to communicate directly with BU stakeholders as they prepare to experience the new venue for the first time.
The $212 million-dollar facility will serve as the home of men's and women's basketball, while also functioning as an elite venue for the City of Waco. The timing of this new venue could not come at a more exciting time for the Bears, as Baylor is the only school in the nation to boast undefeated teams in both men's and women's basketball. The men's team is ranked No. 6 nationally and the women check in No. 10.
