No matter the task, Jeff Grigus always does it with a smile

Even when Jeff Grigus's plate is overflowing, he keeps asking for more.
Promoted to Associate AD for Football Operations in January, whether he's loading the buses with Gatorade, filling out compliance paperwork or doing CARA logs, Jeff always goes above and beyond in doing his serviceable and personal best.
"There's nothing that you won't do," said Mabrie Herman, Assistant AD for Compliance. "And it's always with a smile on your face and a funny comment. . . . Since you started working at Baylor, which is a little over a year ago, you have hit the ground running, and I'm pretty sure you've been in an all-out sprint since you've been here. So, let's keep running together."
Before coming to Baylor in December 2021 as Director of Football Operations, Jeff held the same role at LSU. He credits his work ethic and knowledge in the role to legendary LSU Director of Operations Dr. Sam Nader.
In his first 14 months at Baylor, he has been "the glue on this team," said Hanna Kotlarek, Senior Director of Football Visual Media.
"You ensure that every single member can be the best that they can be," Kotlarek said. "You are challenged and you are tested, but no challenge is too big for you. Thank you for being a great leader and inspiring every single person on the football support staff."
The definition of a servant leader, Jeff consistently puts others before himself, "which is admirable not only in (the athletics) industry, but in the line of work you're in with football," said Jovan Overshown, Senior Associate AD for External Affairs.
"When your plate is already so full, you manage to think of others in everything that you do," Overshown said. "We ask you to go an inch, and every time you go a mile. Thank you for all that you do for Baylor and specifically Baylor football."
Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."
Congratulations, Jeff, on your One Standard, One Accord award for constantly doing your serviceable and personal best.
