No. 21 MGOLF Tied for Ninth After the Second Round in Cabo

BU’s Trey Bosco shoots a 2-over 73 to pace the Bears on Day two
LOS CABOS, Mexico. – Baylor men's golf is in ninth place after a 12-over 296 Monday in the second round of the Cabo Collegiate at Twin Dolphin Golf Club.
Baylor was led by Trey Bosco's 2-over 73, which was .48 strokes better than the stroke average in the second round. Bosco's round on Monday put him in a tie for 31st, two shots behind his teammate Johnny Keefer, BU's highest-placed golfer (t-18th) entering the final round.
Baylor is tied with Houston, six-shots back of fifth-place Arkansas. No. 1 Vanderbilt increased its lead over Ole Miss to 13 shots in the second round. Commodores Wells Willams and Matthew Riedel are tied for the individual lead at 6-under entering Tuesday's final round.
THE RUNDOWN
Starting on No. 3, Bosco played his first five holes at even par before making a bogey at No. 8 and a triple bogey at No. 10 to close out his first nine at 4-over. His first birdie came at No. 12. After a bogey at No. 16, he added two more birdies at Nos. 18 and 2 to close out the round at 2-over.
Keefer made an early bogey at No. 2 before adding a double bogey at No. 6 to fall to 3-over. The senior picked up a stroke with a birdie at No. 8 to get back to 2-over on his front nine. The San Antonio native made two more bogeys at Nos. 10 and 13 to drop to 4-over on the round. Keefer played his final five holes at 1-under par with two birdies at Nos. 14 and 16 and a bogey at No. 18.
Drew Wrightson recorded a 3-over 74 on Monday to finish tied for 39th with 18 holes to play. Opening his round on No. 2, Wrightson made five bogeys on his first nine at Nos. 2, 3, 6 and 10 to shoot 4-over. After one last bogey at No. 12, Wrightson finished strong, playing his final seven holes at 2-under with birdies at Nos. 13 and 18.
Tyler Isenhart joined Wrightson in a tie for 39th on Monday on the heels of a 4-over 75. After a triple-bogey eight to start his round, the senior got a couple of strokes back with birdies at Nos. 3 and 4. He made four bogeys over his next seven holes to drop back to 5-over on the day, prior to closing with birdies at Nos. 12 and 16 and a bogey at No. 18.
Luke Dossey is tied for 59th following a 5-over 76 on Monday. A triple-bogey six started his round, followed by bogeys at Nos. 10, 13 and 17 to fall to six-over. He did finish strong with a birdie on his final hole of the day at No. 3.
