LINCOLN, Nebraska – Baylor soccer fell against Nebraska, 2-1, Sunday afternoon at Barbara Hibner Field.

The Bears fell behind early in the contest, allowing a Husker goal in the 10^th minute. BU held off the Nebraska threat until the 27^th minute when the Huskers went up, 2-0, after slipping past the keeper.

With the first half winding down, freshman Theresa McCullough got off a shot in the 45^th minute but it was blocked, and the Bears were rewarded with a corner kick. Natalie Vatter then lined up for a free kick that wound up at the head of Hannah Augustyn who found the crossbar before freshman Callie Conrad headed the ball into the back of the net to cut the Huskers' lead in half with 13 seconds left on the clock.

Baylor wasn't able to generate much offense in the second half, as the Bears only got off six shots to Nebraska's 12. BU goalkeeper Makinzie Short made seven saves in the second half to keep the Huskers off the board, including back-to-back stops in the 84^th minute.

Hannah Boughton and Ava Colberg tried to create some pressure and put shots on goal in the 85^th and 89^thminutes, but the Nebraska goalkeeper came up with the saves.
