
Baylor Launches Tailgate Show on KCEN 6 News

WACO, Texas -- Baylor Athletics and KCEN 6 News, along with their parent company TEGNA, have announced the return of the Baylor Athletics Tailgate Show as it begins its fourth season on Saturday live from Touchdown Alley at McLane Stadium.
The Baylor Athletics Tailgate Show will take place before every home game during the 2023 season, highlighted by a nation-leading and school-record eight games. New to the set this year is KCEN 6 News sports anchor Nicole Shearin, who will be joined by the Voice of the Bears, John Morris, and fellow co-host Derek Smith, with Morris and Smith each returning for their fourth season.
Seth Russell, a two-time Big 12 Champion and All-Big 12 Conference quarterback, will return for a fourth season as an offensive analyst on the show. Elliot Coffey, an All-Big 12 Conference linebacker, will also return as a defensive analyst for his fourth season on the show. The Tailgate Show will feature special guests, including other Baylor legends throughout the fall.

The broadcast partnership between Baylor and KCEN 6 News also extends to the weekly Coach's Show hosted at Rudy's Wednesdays during the fall with regular appearances by Baylor Football Head Coach Dave Aranda.

The Baylor Alumni Tailgate Show will begin two hours before kickoff and run for one hour. Saturday's show starts at 4 p.m., ahead of the Baylor vs. Texas State season opener at 6 p.m. at McLane Stadium.
The show will air live on KCEN-TV 6.2, KCEN 6+, and the Baylor Athletics Facebook page. All shows will also air live on the flagship station of Baylor Athletics, ESPN Central Texas, KRZI 1660 AM/92.3 FM and online at www.listentexas.com or www.centexsportsfan.com.
