WT Freshmen Show Out at TCU Jae Foundation Fall Open

FORT WORTH, Texas – Baylor women's tennis wrapped up its time at the Jae Foundation Fall Open at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center over the weekend with a 13-3 record.

Freshmen Wenfei Yu and Na Dong had impressive runs with both going undefeated in singles competition, earning three victories against athletes from Arizona, Cincinnati and Northwestern.

Yu and her partner Sierra Berry went undefeated in doubles action during the weekend, garnering three wins.

THE RUNDOWN
Yu, Dong and Berry all earned victories on Thursday, with Dong constructing a close victory over Arizona's Josie Usereau 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (13-11). Kennedy Gibbs fell to former Bear Danielle Tuhten 6-1, 6-4 in her only singles match of the weekend.

In doubles, the pairing of Gibbs and Dong finished 2-1, earning a victory over Northwestern's Mika Dagan Fruchtman and Neena Feldman 6-4.

WHAT'S NEXT
Baylor will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to compete in the ITA Sectional Championships beginning Nov. 7 and Houston to compete in the Rice Invitational beginning Nov. 8.
