The 2025 spring collegiate season ends in Waco with Big 12, NCAA Championships
WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the 2025 spring dual-match schedule on Friday morning. The 23-match slate includes 12 home matches in Waco before hosting both the Big 12 Championship and the NCAA Championship at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The 2025 spring season will open at home against Harvard on January 19 before a road trip to Austin for ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Bears open the ITA Indoor Championship-qualifying tournament against the cross-conference BYU Cougars on Jan. 24 before playing either Maryland or Texas the following day. Back home, the first month of the year will conclude against Nebraska on the 31st.
BU sees Denver on February 2 before embarking on a three-match cross-country trip to San Diego State (Feb. 8), San Diego (Feb. 9) and Illinois (Feb. 15). Back at the Hurd, the non-conference schedule wraps up in a pair of matches against Brown on Feb. 17 and Washington State on Feb. 21.
In the new 16-team Big 12 Conference, BU faces all but two schools in a regular-season bout. BYU, who Baylor plays in ITA Kickoff Weekend, and Utah will not see the Bears as part of the 2025 conference slate.
Cincinnati rings in Big 12 play at the Hurd Tennis Center on Feb. 28 before BU welcomes West Virginia on March 2. The rest of March is packed full of Big 12 tennis, as the Bears host Colorado (March 14), Texas Tech (March 16), Kansas State (March 28) and Oklahoma State (March 30), while hitting the road to face UCF (March 7), Houston (March 9), Iowa State (March 21) and Kansas (March 23).
A two-match swing at Arizona and Arizona State opens the month of April on the 4th and 6th before one final regular-season match at the Hurd on April 12 as the TCU Horned Frogs come to town.
Continuing a historic year for collegiate tennis in Waco, Texas, the Hurd Tennis Center will welcome the conference back to Central Texas for the Big 12 Championship, held April 16-19. For the NCAA Championship, teams that qualify for the Elite Eight will begin play on May 15 until a team is crowned a champion on May 18. Tickets and more information for both tournaments will be released in the coming months.
Baylor will learn its fate in the NCAA Tournament with the selection show on April 27, and the Regional (First and Second Rounds) and Super Regional (Sweet 16) rounds will be held at campus sites the first and second weekends of May.
All home matches, with the exception of the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments, are free for fans to attend.
