LAWRENCE, Kan. â No. 13 Baylor Softball fell in the series finale against the Jayhawks, 1-0, Sunday afternoon at Arrocha Ballpark. Â
Â
THE RUNDOWN
The Bears weren't able to get their offense going in the matchup, as they totaled six hits and left six on base.Â
Â
Baylor was retired in order through the first three innings, while KU had at least one baserunner in each of the first three. The Jayhawks almost plated a run in the bottom of the third after three-straight singles, but a throw from Ashlyn Wachtendorf in center field caught the runner trying to take home for the third out.Â
Â
Baylor's first runner of the game was Emily Hott after she singled in the fourth, followed by a single from Shaylon Govan that put two on with one out. Abi Flores then reached on a fielder's choice that got out the lead runner and kept Baylor off the board.Â
Â
After retiring Kansas in order in the bottom of the fourth, Wachtendorf and Presleigh Pilon each singled in the fifth, but a hard line-out to second base ended the threat.Â
Â
Kansas scored its lone run in the bottom of the sixth, loading the bases and then capitalizing on a bases-loaded two-out walk that put the Jayhawks up 1-0.Â
Â
Wachtendorf singled for the second time in the top of the seventh, but that would be all for the Bears as they lost their third-straight to Kansas.Â

The Bears will host Houston Christian in a midweek contest Tuesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. CT at Getterman Stadium. Â
