
Top-Ranked Oklahoma State Shuts Out WT

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Baylor women's tennis team (13-6, 5-1 Big 12) suffered a 7-0 setback to No. 1 Oklahoma State (17-0, 6-0 Big 12) on Sunday afternoon, ending its seven-match win streak.
The Cowgirls jumped out to an early lead by securing the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, despite Zuzanna Kubacha and Sierra Berry trailing by just a point on the top court against #5 Ange Oby Kajuru and Anastasiya Komar, 5-4.
The top four courts in singles featured a ranked opponent for the Bears, including two Cowgirls in the top 10. After getting shut out in the opening frame, Kubacha forced a third set after responding with a 6-1 victory in the second on court three. Daniella Dimitrov also picked up a second-set win at the No. 6 position, earning the 6-3 victory, before falling 10-7 in the third-set tiebreaker.
The Bears continue Big 12 action next weekend at home when they host Iowa State and Kansas at the Hurd Tennis Center.
