SB Adds Brooklyn Carter to 2025 Roster

WACO, Texas – Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore has added Brooklyn Carter to the 2025 roster, announced Tuesday.
 
Carter transfers from the University of Washington to join the Bears with two years of eligibility. The outfielder spent both the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Washington.
 
Originally from Inglewood, Calif., Carter appeared in 52 games as a freshman while making 24 starts, primarily in centerfield. 
 
During her freshman campaign in 2023, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team while averaging .277 with a double, triple and seven RBI. Carter was second in the conference with 28 stolen bases. She stole home in the Huskies game against No. 22 Louisiana to add an insurance run and send Washington to the Women's College World Series. 
 
As a sophomore in 2024, Carter made 39 appearances and 35 starts. She posted a .314 batting average with 37 hits, four doubles and nine RBI. She totaled 12 multi-hit games on the season and stole a team-high 21 bases on 21 attempts. She set a new single-game career-high in RBIs (4) and tied a single-season program record with four stolen bases in a game. 
 
A graduate of Notre Dame High School in 2022, Carter was Ranked ninth in her class by Extra Innings Softball. She also was named a 2022 Alliance All-Star and was named to the 2019 ALL-PGF 16U team as a freshman. She played for the Firecrackers Brashear travel ball team. 
 
Carter will be pursuing a degree in communications.
