
Baylor Softball Adds Averie Waddell to 2025 Roster

WACO, Texas – Baylor softball head coach Glenn Moore has added Averie Waddell to the 2025 roster, announced Friday.
Waddell joins the Bears as a freshman from Hickory, N.C. and Maiden High School. The freshman catcher played club ball for Fury Platinum X-18u Higdon.
During her high school campaign, Waddell compiled a .462 batting average and 121 hits. She recorded 106 RBIs, had 36 doubles with a 1.333 OPS. As a four-time letterwinner, she also garnered four-time all-district and three-time all-state honors. Waddell was named the Blued Ridge Hot Stone Catcher of the Year in 2024.
As a dual-sport athlete, Waddell also received two volleyball letters.
Waddell will be pursuing a degree in pre-med/biology at Baylor.
