Bears poised to host five meets at Willis
WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian has revealed its 2024-25 schedule, announced by eighth-year head coach Casie Maxwell on Monday.
BU is set to host five meets this season and compete in six meets outside of Waco, which includes one neutral-site matchup.
Baylor will hold its annual intrasquad Green and Gold Scrimmage on Sept. 20 and will then scrimmage with Tarleton on Sept. 29, both at Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The Bears will officially open the season on Oct. 10 in Fort Worth, continuing on the road for their second meet, facing Oklahoma State in Stillwater on Oct. 25. Baylor then hosts Fresno State on Nov. 1 for its home opener, before heading to SMU on Nov. 9. The fall will close at home against Texas A&M on Nov. 22.
To begin the spring slate, BU welcomes South Dakota State to Waco on Feb. 1, then hits the road to face Fresno State (Feb. 7). A two-meet homestand starts with Oklahoma State on Feb. 15 and closes with TCU on March 1. The season closes out in Brookings, S.D., where Baylor faces host South Dakota State on March 7 and has a neutral match with Minnesota-Crookston on March 8.
TCU will host the Big 12 Championship on March 28-29 at Bear Creek Farms just outside Fort Worth. The NCEA National Championship returns to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla., for the fourth-consecutive season on April 14-19 to crown the 2024-25 champion.
All home meets at the Willis are free and open to the public.
