Baylor looking to add PA and In-Game Hosts for 2024-25
WACO, Texas – The Baylor University Athletics Department is looking to add public address (PA) announcers and in-game hosts to its game day database for the 2024-25 academic year. The Bears would like to expand our contact list and find more great voices and personalities to enhance the atmosphere at Baylor Athletics events.
To audition for the position of a PA announcer or in-game host, submit a recording using this script. Please only read the elements associated with each role.

To audition for the position of a PA announcer or in-game host, submit a recording using this script. Please only read the elements associated with each role.
Email all audition tapes to fan_engagement@baylor.edu and provide the following information:
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Indication of PA or in-game host
- Any previous PA or emcee experience
- Free game day parking
- Compensation will be on a per game basis, rate to be determined by sport before season begins
- Strong vocal talent
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends required)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned sport and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal communication skills and professional approach to game days
- Ability to take constructive feedback and direction
- Experience announcing athletic events at the collegiate, high school and/or professional level
- Create an unforgettable and entertaining experience for fans during home games
- Work closely with marketing staff to ensure proper execution of pre-game and in-game entertainment, including but not limited to: contests and promotions, sponsorship fulfillment, team introduction and other duties as assigned
- Ability to work with a diverse crew for proper delivery of elements including game producer, marketing interns, audio staff, etc.
- Familiarity with the team roster for assigned sports prior to the season
- Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and on-brand in all situations
